Dr. Aeshna Rajmaira joined the LVH Team in February of 2024. She graduated from Cornell University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She then earned her DVM from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Following her graduation, she completed a one-year small animal rotating internship with a focus on emergency, medicine, and surgery at VERG in Brooklyn, New York, in 2018.
Dr. Rajmaira recently moved to the Chicagoland area from San Francisco with her husband and their 6-year-old Siberian cat named Elo. Her hobbies include playing the piano, reading Jane Austen, painting, and taking her cat for walks.
She developed a passion for animals, particularly horses, at a young age, which led her to shadow a visiting veterinarian at 14. This experience solidified her desire to become an equine vet. However, during vet school, her interest shifted toward internal medicine, ultimately leading her to specialize in small animal medicine.
Dr. Rajmaira is particularly drawn to internal medicine and ultrasound, with a special love for cats.
